 the Chesnut Tree

Chestnut Tree, the Honesty
Of unusual beauty, does not want to impress, well-developed sense of justice, vivacious, interested, a born diplomat, but irritable and sensitive in company, often due to a lack of self-confidence, acts sometimes superior, feels not understood, loves only once.

"Celtic Mist" had my curiosity going on this one, so I dug a little
deeper. I think this is a little closer in some repects........

 My Celtic Tree of Origin

It is the Broom or (Physician's Strength).

This is a delicate and elegant plant appearing in stark contrast to rough windswept hillsides of Ireland. It is always associated with royalty (you go girl)! In olden times, it was used as the emblem of nobility by the French medieval lords of Brittany.

It is also a medicinal plant used in all treatments fo diseases associated with celebration, whether too much drinking, eating, or sex.

It was used in the healing arts by the Celts and those that would call themselves physicians. All parts of the Broom have healing properties and even during WWII, the green tips were gathered as herbal medicine to be used for a mild diuretic. Another medicinal usage was the component called Sparteine.........when used in large doses it could create an excited state and hallucinations......this is the reason why the broom is associated with the "witches' riding on broomsticks through the sky". Tea can also be made from the Broom.........an approved diuretic. It is used magically in spells of purification and protection. It is the symbol for travel, either spiritually outside of your body or a journey that one embarks on. Broom reminds us of the importance of caring for our own well-beingon all levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It is symbolic for "cleaning up your act" if you will!

Your personality traits with this are: Royalty, Cleansing, Healing, Psychic Protection and Travel.

Special Thankyou- to "Celtic Mist"
