'Spring' Huh ? ~

This would be the First Day of Spring, Today's high was 44 degrees, & woke up to a skiff of Snow. So would that be the Robin's Snow ??? Yep, Seen me one !!!

Then of Course - we'll have to have an Easter Snow ....

And don't forget the Equinox Snow ??? OK, NOT holding my Breath here.... Just seems too Early for Easter.

Irish Bank Robbery ~

The Vanilla Pudding Robbery
Excerpted from an article which appeared in The Dublin Times about a Bank Robbery on March 2nd

Once inside the Bank shortly after Midnight.

Their efforts at disabling the security system got underway immediately.

The Robbers who expected to find one or two large safes filled with cash, and valuables, were surprised to see hundreds of smaller safes through out the Bank.

The Robbers cracked the first safe's combination, and inside they only found a small bowl of Vanilla Pudding.

As recorded on the Bank's audio tape system, one Robber said " at least we'll have a bit to eat."

The Robbers opened up a second safe, and it also contained nothing but vanilla pudding. The process continued until all the safes were opened.

They did not find one pound of Sterling, a Diamond, or an once of Gold. Instead all the safes contained covered bowls of pudding.

Disappointed the Robbers made a quiet exit, each leaving with nothing more than a Queasy, uncomfortably full stomach.

The Newspaper Headline Read:

"IRELAND'S

Saturday Night Irish Style ~

Irish Blessings quote

The Symbol of the Shamrock In ancient Ireland the Shamrock was thought to have magical powers and the number 3 was considered a powerful number. Legends say the leaves will stand upright when a storm approaches and that no snake will be found among them. When St. Patrick came to Ireland he used the Shamrock to symbolize the meaning of the church's teaching on the Trinity. The word Shamrock comes from the old Irish word "seamrog"
Which means "summer plant."

The Leprechaun is an Irish fairy. Full grown leprechauns are reported to be about 2 feet tall. They will frequently be clothed in the garb of a shoemaker, with a cocked hat and a leather apron. Frequently scowling, leprechauns are said to resemble small, grumpy old men.

According to legend, leprechauns are unfriendly, live alone. They spend a great deal of their time making shoes. Most importantly, each and every leprechaun possesses a hidden pot of gold.

Treasure hunters should listen for the sound of a shoemaker's hammer, when looking for leprechauns. If caught, the leprechaun must reveal the whereabouts of his pot of gold. But be careful! Keep your eyes on the tricky leprechaun every second. He will try to trick you into looking away, and if you do...PooF! He vanishes and all hopes of finding the treasure are lost.
